Our hearts break alongside baby Lyla’s Mom Leah, and the Collins family who are currently walking through a tremendously dark and difficult time. They are filled with unimaginable grief and sorrow at the sudden and tragic loss of beautiful baby Lyla, their 12-week-old daughter and granddaughter.
This family is loved by so many people. They would never ask for this type of support on their own but we refuse to allow them to suffer alone or assume this burden without the support of their friends, family, and community.
It’s not who we are and it’s not what we do.
We rejoice with those who rejoice, and we weep with those that weep. This is a time for weeping and a time for us to come alongside them to support them with love, prayer, and practical needs as they walk through dark days.
Many people have asked how they can give to help support this family. We are so grateful for the tender hearts of our friends and our church, along with others whose help has been tremendous. You know who you are. Saying thank you seems so inadequate for the impact you’ve had.
Goal:
We have a simple goal of raising around $10,000.
*We have just updated this amount to $17,500 to cover three months of Leah taking time off work to grieve should she choose to.
Your generous gift will help the Collins family take the necessary time off work, cover funeral expenses, and address other unforeseen expenses during this time of grieving.
We know this amount doesn’t sound like much to help with this, and to be honest, it’s not. It’s really just a drop in the bucket, but we have faith there is still good in this world. We refuse to let the darkness win.
This is a chance for us to be light in a dark world. We know there are many others who feel the same way and are willing to stand in the gap, lifting this family up in their brokenness. We pray that you will bless this family beyond anything we could imagine.
