On New Year’s Day, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. My cousin, Guadalupe Torres, tragically lost her 1 month 26 day old baby, Josue Eduardo. He was her first born. There are no words that can fully express the pain and heartbreak of losing a child as a single mother, especially at the very beginning of a new year that was meant to bring hope and joy.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help Guadalupe during this devastating time as she navigates grief while facing these hardships as a single mother. The funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and travel costs needed to lay our precious newborn baby to rest in Apipilulco, Guerrero, where he will be buried with both of his grandparents and surrounded by family and loved ones that did not have the opportunity to meet him.
