Honoring Baby Addison: Support for Her Family

Donation protected
Baby Addison Celeste Hernandez’s story is one of love, hope, and heartbreak. During her time in the womb, Addison was an active baby, full of life and movement. Tragically, at some point, her energetic kicks caused her umbilical cord to become tied in a knot. In her movements, the cord became wrapped around her neck, cutting off her oxygen supply. This heartbreaking accident is a reminder of how fragile and delicate life can be, even before birth.

On January 23, 2025, I went to what was supposed to be a regular routine prenatal checkup for our baby girl. That day, our world changed forever when the nurse told us they could no longer detect Addison’s heartbeat. In that moment, our excitement for her upcoming arrival turned to immense sorrow. While we had prepared everything to welcome her, we now had to prepare to say goodbye instead.

Our induction date was scheduled the next day for January 24, 2025. However, Addison wasn’t delivered until January 25, 2025. Holding her for the first and last time was bittersweet. She was perfect in every way, and even though her time with us was short, she left an indelible mark on our hearts. Though we may have lost our world, we find comfort in believing that heaven gained a precious angel.

During this time of unimaginable grief, we’ve been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support from our friends and family. Your kind words, prayers, and presence have carried us through these difficult days. Knowing we are not alone in our sorrow has brought us comfort, and we are forever grateful for the strength and compassion you’ve shown.

Addison’s memory will live on in our hearts and in the hearts of all who have supported us. She may not have taken her first breath in this world, but her spirit will always be with us. Thank you for walking this journey with us and for reminding us that love can shine even in the darkest of times.

It is our deepest wish to have Addison cremated so she can remain with us forever, bringing peace to our hearts as we honor her memory. All of the contributions would be going to giving her an urn, helping pay hospital bills, after care for Malie, and prescriptions. These unexpected expenses has added to the challenges we are facing, and we humbly ask for any financial help you may be able to provide. No contribution is too small, and your kindness will help us create a lasting way to keep Addison close to us. Thank you for your love, compassion, and support it means the absolute world to us.
