Hello everyone, I am finally ready to share my story. A lot of this was unknown to a lot of people due to the circumstances. I became pregnant the day after Christmas 2024. After receiving my blood work, I was high risk for trisomy 18, which is also known as Edwards syndrome. It is a syndrome that affects a baby in unimaginable ways, making them incompatible with life. After the high-risk test, I was then given an amniocentesis to confirm the diagnosis. When the results were back, they came back positive that my baby boy carried the extra chromosome and had this disease. A few weeks later, after a lot of back and forth, the doctors and I finally came to our conclusion of what needed to be done. I went to OSU to labor and deliver my baby at 21 weeks and 3 days old. He was born on May 4th, 2025, at 7:25 a.m. and lived for 40 minutes, passing away at 8:05 a.m. the same day. Due to the high risk of my pregnancy and all the complications I was going through, I was unfortunately unable to work. After my beautiful son was born and then departed, the hospital offered so much help as to what to do next. Azrael Lael Itawi will be cremated. Unfortunately, due to not having a vehicle and life just being life, it's kind of made it hard for me to be able to retrieve my son's ashes. There are ways I could have him sent to me, but the financial part is where I struggle. If anyone feels like contributing to help me get my baby boy's ashes home and to help with buying an urn as well as a couple of necklaces for his siblings and I to have to carry him with us forever, I will forever be grateful. I have never made one of these before, and I've never asked for help like this, but in times of need, I just figured I could reach out, and if anybody has anything to help or would be willing to, I would sincerely be grateful. Any contribution, big or small, will help me bring my son home and give him a forever place to be. Prayers and good vibes are always welcome this way as well, as I'm trying to continue life and figure my way out of the fog that I have been in. Thank you for taking your time to read my story. Love always, Jessica
