Celebrating the Legacy of Aziza & Marva Brown
Dear friends, family, and supporters,
It is with profound sadness that we honor the lives of Aziza Brown and her mother, Marva Brown, both taken from us far too soon. Aziza, a trailblazer in the world of esports, poured her heart into the gaming community, where she inspired so many as a leader, mentor, and friend. Tragically, Marva passed away soon after, her heart unable to bear the loss of her beloved daughter. This GoFundMe is dedicated to giving them a fitting farewell, with all proceeds going directly to their wake and funeral services.
Aziza was known across New York’s gaming community as a “mama bird,” a nurturing force who made everyone feel like family. A brilliant competitor since her childhood days, she introduced us to countless games and became a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion in esports, even founding her own esports team. She was featured in the New York Times and Netflix for her work, making her mark on a world that will never be the same without her. Aziza’s kindness and resilience were legendary. She never hesitated to lift others up, no matter how much she had on her own plate. Her impact is deep, resonating with everyone she touched, from longtime friends and family to new faces she welcomed with open arms.
Marva, her mother, was Aziza’s bedrock. She, along with their beloved husband & father, Thomas Brown, instilled in Aziza a spirit of kindness and strength that helped her soar. Losing Aziza was a heartbreak Marva could not endure, and in a matter of days, she joined her daughter. As we mourn, we take solace in knowing they are together.
These funds will help us provide Aziza and Marva with the services they deserve, a space where loved ones can celebrate their lives, their light, and their legacies. Any support, whether a donation or a share, will help us honor these incredible women who gave so much to those around them.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and love during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
