Our brother, Augie Lamar DeLaRiva, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2025. He was the most loving, kind, generous, and hilarious son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. The baby of our family, he filled every room with laughter, silliness and light. He loved paintballing, snowboarding, adventures with friends and family, and every animal he ever met, especially dogs.

We, his sisters (Alissa, Amanda, and Monica), are creating this GoFundMe to help our parents, Theresa and Augie DeLaRiva Jr., with the heartbreaking task of laying their baby boy to rest.

Anyone who knew Augie knows what an incredible friend he was. He had a gift for making people laugh and a heart that always looked out for others. Since we were kids, he was the one sharing his food or asking our parents to help a friend in need. That generosity and care came directly from our mom and dad, who have spent their lives helping others without ever asking for much in return.

We want to be transparent about the costs, which are much higher than we ever expected:

• Transport from Fresno to Santa Rosa: around $2,000

• Burial plot: $5,000–$20,000

• Casket: $8,000–$12,000

• Full funeral service: $6,500+

Our goal is to help cover the core expenses for the burial, funeral, and plot. We are not trying to cover every related or future cost, only what is needed to bring him home and lay him to rest.

Our parents have always shown up for others. Now it is our turn to show up for them. Any contribution, no matter how small, helps us honor Augie’s life and gives our parents one less worry as they navigate this heartbreak.
