We are heartbroken to share the passing of Assane Ndiaye, a beloved son, friend, and shining light in the Lambaye community. Assane had just graduated high school and was preparing to begin college next year. A gifted musician with a contagious smile, he inspired everyone around him with his passion, kindness, and dedication.

He was a leader in his community, a dedicated artist and musician who introduced many young people to music. Always at the learning center, Assane worked hard, volunteered to help others, and performed to welcome all of us in Lambaye. Despite coming from a family with limited means, he persevered to be among the best in his class and excelled at the baccalaureate exam. He was so excited to go to college and had a bright future ahead.
