Ashley Lopez, my beautiful sister, was a person of remarkable strength and a heart so genuine it touched everyone she met. On Thursday, Ashley was involved in a tragic head-on collision on Mountain View Road near Club House Drive, just outside Desert Hot Springs. The crash, which involved two vehicles, occurred when a northbound vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lanes, striking Ashley's vehicle head-on. Both vehicles caught fire immediately after the impact. Ashley was the female driver and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three of Ashley's four children suffered injuries, and bystanders rushed to the burning wreckage before emergency crews arrived, pulling the victims to safety. The loss of Ashley has left our family heartbroken, and her four children are now facing a future without their loving mother.
