It is with profound sadness and shattered hearts that we share the passing of Ashley Parker. On May 4th, Ashley tragically lost her life during the birth of their beautiful new baby boy, Wyatt, who is in an extended stay in the NICU following the birth. She leaves behind her loving husband, Eric, and their three children: Brody, Owen and Wyatt.

Honoring Ashley

Ashley was beloved by her community, cherished by her family and was a joyous and positive influence on everyone she came into contact with. She was eternally devoted to her children and they absolutely adored her. She was generous in life and quick to offer her time, her energy, and her planning skills. She was gentle and patient with her children at all times. She was taken far too soon and will be deeply missed. Nothing would honor her more than knowing that her family is being supported in her absence.

The Immediate Need

Eric is now facing the unimaginable task of navigating this profound grief while suddenly raising three children—including a newborn—as a single father. As his friends and community, we want to give him the most valuable resource possible right now: time.

Our goal is to raise enough funds to (1) cover potential significant medical bills for Ashley & an extended NICU stay for Wyatt and (2) provide a secure financial runway for the next year. This will allow Eric to take an extended leave of absence from work to stay home, bond with baby Wyatt, support his older children through their devastating loss, and figure out their new normal without the heavy burden of financial anxiety.

How the Funds Will Be Used

100% of the funds raised here will go directly to Eric to cover:

Daily living expenses (mortgage, groceries, utilities) so he can take time off work.

Childcare, preschool, or nanny costs for the children.

Any unexpected medical bills related to the childbirth.
