Dear chosen family and community,

On Monday, September 23rd, our dear friend Arii Rodrigues (A.É.R) passed away. She was the kindest person so many of us knew. She's touched so many of us with her generosity, laughter, and music. She cared deeply about disability justice and sustainable cities. She was ace and transgender, and constantly fought for LGBTQIA+ rights. Her passions ranged from mathematics to architecture, and she found joy in the color blue, Aretha Franklin, Batman, basketball, Buffalo, NY, soccer, and countless other beautiful interests that made her uniquely Arii.

We're deeply saddened by her loss. Her passing leaves a void that words cannot describe, and we, her chosen family, are reaching out for support during this incredibly difficult time. This fundraiser will go towards:

1. Funeral expenses / costs for family (the cost of the ambulance)

2. Vigil costs

3. Rent support for her chosen family left unhoused

The funds raised will be managed by Keerti and Sneha, who will ensure everything is appropriately distributed in line with what we know Arii would have wanted. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of us.
