Andrea Pruett — beloved mother, grandmother, and longtime owner of the world-famous Bagdad Cafe — passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Andrea devoted her life to her family, her community, and preserving a place that has meant so much to travelers from around the world. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit touched countless lives, and her legacy will live on in the memories of all who knew her.
Our family is now working to ensure that Andrea’s final wishes are honored and that she is given the loving farewell she deserves, surrounded by the people and place she cherished most. We are raising funds to help cover the costs associated with her passing, including cremation and urn, transportation for family and her remains, burial service costs at Hollywood Forever with her late husband and son, a Celebration of Life reception at the Bagdad Cafe, and any unexpected expenses that may arise.
