My name is Jernitta King and our family is humbly seeking assistance to help give our beloved sister, Andrea Elizabeth Shillingford, a proper homegoing. In the early morning hours on April 13th, 2025, our beautiful sister laid her head down to rest and never woke up. This UNEXPECTED and SUDDEN loss has brought such devastation to our family. We were not prepared for this.. !!
Andrea Shillingford, "Andie" as she was well known, was the other half of identical twins. She was born and raised in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and moved to Kansas City, Missouri when she was 12.
She excelled in all her studies through elementary and high school, remaining at the top of her class. She was an Army veteran, enlisting right out of high school. After a year and a half, she was honorably discharged for a health-related issue. She remained true to the core values they instilled in her and lived by them daily.
She continued her studies and received her Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Engineering from the University of Houston-Downtown. She was blessed that during her studies she had the opportunity to be a part of the Bridge Building Project in New Mexico. She was continuing her studies in the Architectural Engineering Master's program and we couldn't be more proud of her!!
Andrea was a daughter, sister, a loving aunty, cousin, and best friend. She was EVERYTHING to EVERYONE and will truly be missed!! There is a void that could never be filled!
She was an IDENTICAL TWIN.... but still ONE OF A KIND! This unexpected and untimely passing of our sister has left us up in arms. Anything that can be given, even your comforting words, is greatly appreciated! We thank you in advance for your donation!
