It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Polly McCray, a woman who was the cornerstone of our family and a blessing to everyone who had the honor of knowing her. As we grieve this tremendous loss, we also come together to celebrate her remarkable life, filled with love, faith, and kindness.

Grandma’s story began in Jackson, Mississippi, where she was born and raised. As a young woman, she moved to Compton, California, where she started her family and raised her children, Melissa, Roderick, and Dechelle. Her strength, wisdom, and love shaped not only their lives but also the lives of everyone around her.

Later, Grandma moved to Las Vegas, where she spent over 30 years creating a home and a family beyond blood through her deep connection with her church and community. Her faith was her foundation, and her generosity and spirit touched countless lives.

We just had a funeral for my Aunt Melissa, my grandma’s oldest daughter, three weeks ago, so this is a very hard time for our family. Funds are tight, and we want to make sure we honor Polly, my grandmother’s, wishes.

In honor of Grandma’s final wish, we are preparing two services to celebrate her life and legacy. The first will be held in Las Vegas for the family and friends she cherished in her later years. The second will take place in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi, where she will be laid to rest.

We are reaching out to ask for your support during this time. The costs of organizing two services, along with travel and burial expenses, are significant, and we want to ensure we honor Grandma’s memory in the way she deserves. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us fulfill her final wish and give her the farewell she envisioned.
