Honoring Ana: A Celebration of Life

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ana Loera on August 27, 2024. She died surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

As many of you are aware, Ana battled cancer for a few years, and with the assistance of her medical team, she overcame many hurdles in combating its spread. Through many tough rounds of chemotherapy, the deployment of radiation treatment and undergoing a major surgical operation, Ana was able to maintain a seemingly regular life. Gathering with family and enjoying time with friends.

Ana always lived life loud and proudly and encouraged even the reluctant among us to join her in celebration. And we are all the better for it. Unfortunately, there is only so much that modern medicine and one’s will to survive can do to combat the veracity of such a virulent disease.

Under hospice care, in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loved ones, Ana succumbed to her illness in relative comfort and peace. We wish to thank everyone for being a part of Ana's story and allowing her to share her light with the world. Her resilience and determination now gives us the strength to move forward without her light.

We ask that you continue to keep Ana in your hearts and minds and to share her legacy of love and joy with each other.
