Honoring Amy and Charlotte Mae: Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Our family has suffered the most traumatic and unimaginable loss of two precious lives due to the horrific storms on Saturday February 15th. My beloved cousin Amy Philpott and her daughter Charlotte Mae Philpott were swept away by the flash flooding in the Bonnieville community of Hart County. The vehicle in which they were driving quickly became submerged in water and despite her frantic attempts to reach emergency agencies there just wasn't enough time. Sweet little Charlotte Mae was able to be retrieved from the vehicle Saturday night however, per report, resuscitation efforts for Charlotte Mae were unsuccessful. Unfortunately, the rapidly rising flood water and the nighttime conditions made retrieving Amy from the car extremely difficult and the crews had to call off the rescue. As the crews resumed recovery efforts on Sunday morning our beloved Amy and the car were finally retrieved from the treacherous waters.
Amy was a devoted mother, loving wife, loyal daughter and steadfast caregiver, she dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She spent her time nurturing her daughter with boundless love, wisdom and compassion. Amy was also a devoted wife to her loving husband, William Philpott, with whom she shared a deep bond and many cherished memories. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and shared dreams. As a dedicated caregiver for our Grandmother (Charlottes namesake), Amy went above and beyond to ensure she was always felt comfortable, supported, and never alone. Her devotion was a testament to her remarkable heart, always putting the well-being of her family and loved ones before her own. The bond she shared with her mother was immeasurable—her mother’s love was a constant source of strength and comfort. Their connection was deep and profound, and her mother’s heart will forever carry the memories of their time together.
No words can truly suffice the devastation our family feels in the passing of our Charlotte Mae. Although her time with us was short, the love and laughter she gave will be forever cherished. Charlotte Mae was a bright soul, full of wonder and curiosity, she had the ability to brighten any room with a smile or her little extraordinary hugs. Charlotte Mae had a heart that was kind and pure, a spirit that was loving, and a life full of endless potential.
As our family struggles to find the strength to navigate our future without these two amazing lives we would love to thank the first responders on scene for acting so quickly and selflessly in their recovery efforts.
