Help Honor the Life of Amanda Schlegel
We lost our beloved friend, daughter, sister, and aunt, Amanda Schlegel, far too soon at just 30 years old.
Amanda lived with Addison’s Disease, a rare and serious condition in which the adrenal glands don’t produce enough essential hormones for the body to function. While Addison’s can be managed, it can also be life-threating.
Amanda passed peacefully on September 19, 2025. We will update everyone with details about a memorial as soon as we know. Thank you for your patience and support .
Amanda deserves to be honored with love and dignity. Our hope is to raise enough to give her the farewell she deserves — a service where her family, friends, and community can gather to celebrate her life and say goodbye.
Amanda was one of the kindest and most empathetic people you could ever meet. She never understood cruelty toward people or animals. She adored her niece and nephew, as well as her friends’ children, who loved her back as if she were their own aunt. She was devoted to her Yorkie, Gracie, whom she treated like a princess.
Her presence lit up every room. Amanda loved laughing, dancing, singing, and turning everyday moments into joy. Her gentle, sensitive spirit touched everyone who knew her. Amanda was full of energy, love, and kindness. Now it is our turn to give back to her.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward funeral and memorial expenses. By giving, you are helping ensure that Amanda’s light is honored in the way she so deeply deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Amanda’s family in this time of grief — and for helping us send her on her way with the same beauty, love, and grace she carried in her heart every day. Update- Service will be held Monday September 29th at 3:30 pm @ Wake Memorial Park - Gathering Doherty ‘s Irish Pub directly after
