Hello everyone, my name is Jasmine Laguna, the eldest granddaughter of Alicia Richardson. I am truly saddened by my Grandmother's sudden and unexpected passing. Her death has brought my family so much pain because she was extremely loved and cared for by all of us.

My Grandma was Deaf and she faced many struggles in this life but no matter the obstacle she maneuvered the best she possibly could. She was a strong independent woman, who loved to travel and be with her friends and family no matter the distance however she was still our soft, delicate mother figure.

Her death was accidental, and could have been prevented by medical staff who failed her. This is what pains my family the most. This tragic passing is so unbearable and my Grandma Alicia deserved to pass peacefully and naturally amongst her family by her side. A true tragedy has taken place and has left us in shambles.

I am sharing my Grandmother's story because I am her voice now. In her final moments she did not have one...

On behalf of my entire family, I am taking full responsibility for ensuring I organize the most beautiful celebration of life ceremony for my Grandmother but I need your help. If you met my Grandma, if you knew my Grandma, then you would know that she would give anything she could to make sure as long as she was around, no one else would go without.

But I am here now, and I want to reach out to my community and share that as I prepare for her funeral arrangements, my family is facing unexpected expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, means so much to our family.

My Grandma's final wish, is to be laid to rest with her mother and father in Cuidad Obregon, Mexico, where she was born and if you feel moved to support our family during this time, donations of any amount are extremely appreciated.
