I'm Ozziel Lara and my father Alfonso Lara has passed away from colostomy and ileostomy surgical failures after a long, painful five years.

Alfonso Lara was a McDonald's manager and a family man. During his time alive, he changed the lives of many and inspired the dreams of others. Alfonso had aspirations of starting his own landscaping company. Frankly, he began colon issues during the summer of 2017 that made it difficult to pursue this dream. His colon issues started to worsen after he was deported during November of 2017 and was cut-off from his treatment.

Alfonso had difficulty receiving and finding the correct, effective treatment in Mexico. It was this lack of effective treatment that his condition began to worsen at a rapid rate. His surgeries were exhausting and brutal, which left his body permanently scarred and incapacitated him for the rest of his time alive.

He passed away on the 24th of April 2026 after his 7th surgery.

All funds received will go to paying funeral costs and his cremation. While my father is no longer with us, I can speak in his behalf and say that he loved and cherished every moment spent with his coworkers, friends, and family. Thank you for your time.

Soy Ozziel Lara y mi padre Alfonso Lara ha fallecido por fallos quirúrgicos de colostomía e ileostomía tras cinco largos y dolorosos años.

Alfonso Lara era gerente de McDonald's y hombre de familia. Durante su vida, cambió la vida de muchos e inspiró los sueños de otros. Alfonso aspiraba a fundar su propia empresa de jardinería. Francamente, comenzó a tener problemas de colon durante el verano de 2017 que dificultaron perseguir ese sueño. Sus problemas de colon empezaron a empeorar después de que fuera deportado en Noviembre de 2017 y le cortaron el tratamiento.

Alfonso tuvo dificultades para recibir y encontrar el tratamiento adecuado y eficaz en México. Fue esta falta de tratamiento eficaz la que empeoró rápidamente su estado. Sus cirugías fueron agotadoras y brutales, dejando su cuerpo permanentemente marcado y incapacitado por el resto de su vida.

Falleció el 24 de Abril de 2026 tras su séptima operación.

Todos los fondos recibidos se destinarán a pagar los gastos del funeral y su cremación. Aunque mi padre ya no esté con nosotros, puedo hablar en su nombre y decir que amó y valoró cada momento pasado con sus compañeros de trabajo, amigos y familia. Gracias por su tiempo.
