Alex was a friend to so many of us. Many of us grew up together in church, played in the band, worked on cars, raced our El Caminos, and went to church camps and youth services. Alex grew to have a real heart for people who were hurting, especially the homeless in the Citrus Heights area. He didn’t just talk about helping people; he gave financially.
On August 20, while approaching one of the homeless men he knew, Alex was punched, struck his head against a brick wall, and suffered devastating brain injuries. While he was hospitalized, several people really stepped up to be there for him, especially Paul Komarchuk, along with Tony and Esther, pastors whom Alex respected. After fighting for his life, Alex passed away on October 1.
We know Alex was ready to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ. Some of his last messages made his faith unmistakably clear, and that gives those of us who knew and loved him tremendous comfort.
This fundraiser was created by Alex’s friends to help with his funeral and final expenses and to honor his life. If you are unable to contribute, please consider sharing his story.
Alex was our friend, and we will miss him. We grieve for ourselves, but rejoice knowing Alex is with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Funeral Services will be:
