Yesterday morning we lost my brother-in-law, Alex Anderson, far too soon.
Alex leaves behind my sister, Hanna, and his two beautiful children, Ryder and Luna, who were truly his whole world. If you knew Alex, you knew how deeply he loved his kids and how proud he was to be their dad.
Alex had a huge heart and a deep love for the outdoors. He loved fishing, trucks, and anything that let him be outside. He worked for many, many years at Johnson’s Hardware, where countless people came to know him as a hardworking, dependable, and kind presence. In recent years, many of you also knew Alex as the driver of the donut-themed bakery car in the demo derby — something he genuinely loved and took a lot of pride in.
This loss was completely unexpected. Alex did not have life insurance. We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses.
If you knew Alex, you know how many friends he had and how deeply he was loved. If you are able to donate, share, or simply keep Hanna, Ryder, and Luna in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more than we can ever express.
Thank you for loving Alex and for helping us care for the people he loved most.
