With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Albina Lozitska.
Originally from Kharkiv, Albina has been a pillar of United Help Ukraine since 2014, serving as a dedicated board member in 2022-2023 and as our Donor Database and Relations Manager from 2022-2024.
Her unwavering passion and commitment to supporting the people of Ukraine were truly remarkable.
Albina always had an acute sense of justice and wisdom, guiding many of us within UHU. She worked with donors and recipients of donations, and she welcomed so many into the organization and the larger community. She truly left a lasting impression on every single person she met.
All who knew her loved and respected Albina, and her presence will be deeply missed. Her legacy of devotion and love for Ukraine will continue to inspire and motivate us to continue this important work.
We deeply appreciate your consideration to donate to help us hold a service and reception for the grieving family and community. Per the family's request, all unused funds will be donated to UHU, a testament to Albina's commitment to our cause.
A service will be held at Saint Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church (15100 New Hampshire Ave Silver Spring, MD 20905) on Wednesday, June 12th, at 5 pm, and we invite all friends and family of Albina to join us in honoring and celebrating her life. A reception will follow.
The burial will take place on Thursday, June 13th at 10 am at the Norbeck Cemetery (16225 Batchellors Forest Rd. Olney, MD 20832).
Albina and her family are in our thoughts and prayers, and she will be missed very dearly.
