Honoring the Life of Alberto Torres and Support for His Final Resting Place
With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, we share the passing of our beloved father, Alberto Torres Sr. He was a loving husband/father/grandpa/brother/cousin/friend, a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His unexpected departure has left a void in our hearts, and we are still processing the loss of someone so dear. While we mourn his loss, we will forever carry his spirit with us in the love, laughter, and memories he shared with everyone of us.
Alberto was a proud Puerto Rican man with strong passions, especially when it came to his sports teams and music. He was an unwavering New York Yankees fan and would proudly wear his Yankees gear no matter the season. And when it came to football, his loyalty was equally strong for the San Francisco 49ers. His love for these teams was more than just about the game—it was about the camaraderie, the tradition, and the excitement they brought him. Many nights were spent watching games, celebrating wins, and, of course, sharing his thoughts on the plays and players, always with enthusiasm and energy, especially with our little brother Alberto Jr.
Music was the heartbeat of his life. Alberto had a deep love for salsa, and we loved watching him dance with my mom to the rhythms of the music, their energy filling every space of the room. But his passion for music didn’t stop there—he was also a huge fan of 90s freestyle, often spinning classics from TKA, Judy Torres, Stevie B, and other freestyle legends. And of course, he couldn’t resist jamming to Bad Bunny, whose beats resonated with his soul. Whether he was salsa dancing, reminiscing about the good old days with freestyle hits, or feeling the energy of Bad Bunny, music was his way of celebrating life, love, and culture.
As we begin to process this heartbreaking loss, we also face the reality that our father will no longer be with us for moments that should have been filled with his laughter and love. He won’t be there for the upcoming holidays, a time we cherish as a family. Even more difficult is the fact that he will not be able to attend his daughter’s wedding, a special day we had all been looking forward to celebrating with him by our side.
In light of the financial challenges we are facing with his funeral and burial expenses, we are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help. We want to give our father the send-off he deserves, but we cannot do it alone. If you can make any contribution, big or small, it will make a meaningful difference and help us honor his memory in the way he always wanted.

Your love, prayers, and Support during this incredibly difficult time are more appreciated than words can express.
