With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved father, Albert Simbe, who passed away on December 21, 2025, in Fargo, North Dakota, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Albert spent his final days in a transitional care unit at Eventide, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. Albert was a man of strong faith and a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He shared a deep and devoted bond with his beloved wife, Joyce, who stood faithfully by his side throughout his illness and now mourns the loss of her life partner. Albert was deeply devoted to his children and grandchildren and brought joy to everyone around him through his kindness, warm smile, love of music, cultural traditions, travel to his home country, and his playful competitiveness during games. He had a rare gift for making people feel welcome and valued.

Our family is heartbroken by this loss and is now coming together to honor Albert’s life and legacy. After receiving an outpouring of love and increased interest from the community asking for a widely accessible way to offer support, our family decided to create this GoFundMe. Funds raised will help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as other end-of-life costs during this difficult time.
