My name is Carrie, and I am raising funds after the sudden, unexpected loss of the love of my life, Al.

We were together for almost 8 years. He was my comfort, my stability, my safe person. His passing wasn’t expected. On the night he passed, he collapsed unexpectedly during a bingo event. There was no warning. Help was called immediately, but despite the efforts of the bystanders, paramedics and hospital, he didn’t make it. Saying goodbye to Al was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and since then, life as I once knew it, with him by my side, will never be the same.

Since then, I’ve been trying to survive a heartbreak I never imagined facing. There has been no memorial, no celebration of his life, and no place to honor the man he was or the life he lived. I want to create something simple and meaningful — even just a small gathering or remembrance — so that his life does not go unrecognized.

At the same time, losing him has left me in a really vulnerable place. Al helped me stay stable, supported, and grounded. I am doing my best to cope, but the emotional and financial impact is overwhelming. I wasn’t prepared for this. I don’t have savings or family support. I am alone trying to figure out how to move forward without the person who always helped me.

I am raising funds to:

~Create a small memorial or celebration of life for him.

~Cover basic living expenses while I get back on my feet.

~Get the emotional and mental health support I need to cope with this loss.

This fundraiser is not connected to his family or estate. This is simply me trying to honor the love we shared and survive the reality of losing the person I built a life with.

Any amount, even a few dollars, helps more than you know.
If you cannot donate, sharing this link means just as much.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me honor Al’s memory with love, dignity, and respect.
