Honoring Aisha Matthews & Supporting Brandon

Donation protected
We are devastated to share the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Aisha Matthews, a remarkable mother, cherished community member, and tireless advocate for children with autism and special needs. Aisha passed quietly in her sleep while holding her son, Brandon, the child she loved more than anything in this world. Their bond was unbreakable, and she cared for him with a depth of devotion that defined her entire life. Aisha grew up in Baltimore and Easton, Maryland, and later made the intentional choice to settle her family in Harford County so that Brandon could access the quality education, therapeutic support, and community resources he needed to thrive. Brandon is a beloved student at Harford Academy, where Principal Randy Geyer and the entire school community knew Aisha not only as a parent, but as a beacon of warmth and generosity.

She was very community oriented and shared her warm spirit and love for baking as both a volunteer and part-time employee of the Hartford County Public School system. Lighting up the hallways with her baked cookies, laughter, and kindness. She never stopped advocating for safe, inclusive spaces where children with autism could learn, grow, and experience life with dignity. Aisha also served as a dedicated Executive Assistant at DIFFERENTREGARD, where she was known for her reliability, compassion, and unwavering commitment to supporting everyone around her. Her loss is felt deeply by her coworkers, her friends, and the families whose lives she touched.

This GoFundMe has been created with love and urgency to help cover Aisha’s funeral expenses. She deserves a service that reflects the beauty, softness, and strength with which she lived her life. Any remaining funds will go directly toward ensuring Brandon receives the long-term care, stability, and support he needs, especially now that he has lost the person who understood him and fought for him most. Aisha gave so much of herself, her time, her energy, her heart, to uplift others. We come together now to honor her, to support her family, and to protect the future of her beloved son. Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers during this unimaginable time.
