Please consider supporting Aidan's family as they deal with this unexpected and tragic loss, such a wonderful young man who was full of life with a bright future. Please share/give if you're able to. If you knew Aidan you were blessed beyond measure but please continue talk about him often and share his stories with his loved ones. It will help ease the pain over time and bring them comfort.
In his mom's words:
"Aidan is so smart and so funny. As a child, he would do anything for a laugh. He danced all the time; I used to think he'd grow up to be a performer because you could not beat the character this kid had. He'd be annoyed with me sometimes because he was so small, and he thought he'd take after me and never be tall like his brother Gabe. Then one day, he became this huge man, overtaking his brother.
Growing up, he had a passion for soccer, and the SASL community embraced him. He was an incredible player, although it seemed we did spend a lot of time at the ER, with a broken finger that needed surgery, a blown-out knee, and his senior year he even broke his hip! That didn't stop him from being there for his team.
Then he graduated and began not only his Business Degree at CCCC, going to school full-time, but worked full-time with our friend Barry as a landscaper. In the last year, he started his own landscaping business, Albright Lawncare & Landscaping. I was terrified of him going out on his own. But he proved once again he could succeed, and his business soared. We just talked last week about how when he finished his final classes in December for his degree, he was going to get his contractor's license so we could start flipping homes together.
And he loved his family. He'd do anything for any of us. He was there to hold me up earlier this year when I couldn't walk or needed to go to the doctor for my spine injury. He would stop almost every day after work at my parents' house just to sit outside with my dad, shoot the bull, or eat my mom's cooking. They always had a Monster waiting in the fridge for him. He loved Gabe, Madison, and Aidan, both fighting and bonding with so many moments of sibling love.
His life had so much purpose, and he was so loved as was evident when by Sunday afternoon after his accident we had an outpouring of prayers and love coming in. I don't know how the word spread so fast around the world, but to everyone who sent us love and prayers for him, thank you.
His girlfriend, Macie Witt, and her family became our family this past week as they were a second family to him. He loved them with his whole heart, and we could see how much they loved him. My own family, my sisters and brothers, my parents, my husband's family, came without question and held us up this week with incredible support.
There are no words to adequately describe the hole that has been left. But we know God has him now. Is holding onto him until we can join him. But selfishly, I want to hold onto him too."
