Adam was the first person to want to help someone or stand up for an injustice. He's a man of action (sometimes without much forethought), so it's not a surprise to hear he jumped into action when he thought someone was in danger. But because of that action, he was taken from us all.
Adam was murdered Monday night. He was taken from his family and most importantly his children way too soon. He loved fiercely, and nobody more than his babies. If you knew Adam, you knew his kids were number one, including the ones he coached or mentored or even just happened to meet that needed a voice to cheer them on. They were his world, and as you can imagine, their world is now shattered. While there is no way to pick up the pieces for them or make this right, we can give them a place to visit their dad. A place where they can go to talk to him and remember all the times they shared. A spot to tell him their future life's stories or just sit with him to grieve. That is the goal of this fundraiser, to give Adam a place to rest near his kids.
We have set a goal to cover funeral and memorial expenses. You never plan to have to do this kind of thing, so I don't know how to make this everything it needs to be for his families. So for now, we just want to give Adam a place to rest and we will figure the rest out after.
We appreciate everybody able to donate any amount. We know this is the Christmas season and not an easy time to give, but to those that can, thank you so much. Your help makes a world of difference. And to those that can't, we appreciate your prayers, well wishes, and kind words. Adam touched so many lives, and he would be so grateful to see so many of them remembering him for it.
