In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

We are raising funds in memory of our beloved brother Adam Jabr, who recently returned to Allah. Adam was a kind soul who touched many lives with his generosity, character, and presence. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to establish a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) in Adam’s name by building a water well. Providing water is one of the greatest acts of charity in Islam, and every person who benefits from that water will be a source of ongoing reward for Adam, by the will of Allah.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

﴿مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنبُلَةٍ مِّائَةُ حَبَّةٍ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ﴾

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)

“And the example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.”

The Prophet ﷺ also taught us that when a person passes away, their deeds end except for three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.

By helping build a water well in Adam’s name, we hope to create a charity that will continue benefiting people for years to come, bringing him reward in the hereafter.

Allah also reminds us:

﴿كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ﴾

(Surah Aal-Imran 3:185)

“Every soul shall taste death.”

We ask everyone to please make du’a for Adam Jabr, asking Allah to forgive him, grant him mercy, expand his grave, and grant him the highest level of Jannah.
