My brother Abraham Joseph Avalos was a kind and caring person who did nothing other than help others and make them feel seen. He struggled for so long with suicidal ideation, but he fought every single day for every single person he came across. When he found the strength to talk about it, he would spend time telling me about the people who struggled and how much he wanted to help them because they were so important to him. He never wanted anyone to feel the pain he felt, and he made sure that no one had any idea how much he was suffering. He did this because of how much he cared for others.

I want everyone to understand that it was no one’s fault for not noticing the signs—he did the best he could to protect others from his pain. Now, his light is no longer trapped in this world; he will flourish and be in God's hands, free from hurt and worry. We are making this fundraiser to give him the proper funeral and final resting place he deserves. All funds will go to funeral costs and everything else needed for the next steps for our family.
