Honoring Abbi Lynn Malish: Medical and Funeral Costs

Donation protected
Abbi Lynn Malish was beautiful inside and out. Born prematurely, she had spastic cerebral palsy which causes weak and stiff muscles. Abbi's case was severe and affected her mobility and her speech. She spent her life confined to a wheelchair. With incredible grace, she endured constant pain, too many major surgeries to number and extremely difficult challenges in every aspect of her daily life. And she never complained or felt sorry for herself. To the contrary, she worked very hard to do whatever she could for herself and made every effort to speak as clearly as possible so people could understand her. She never let her disability dampen her spirits. Her zest for life was infectious, and her strength and perseverance were inspiring.

What she was lacking physically, God multiplied in her mind and spirit. Everyone knew that her passion in life was her deep faith, and she had a very special relationship with our Lord, Jesus, that she proclaimed at every opportunity. She loved to encourage and minister to others. Her favorite bible verse was Romans 8:37, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” And she was the very fulfilment of this scripture, more than a conqueror, victorious in every way.

Abbi was very intelligent and determined to earn her college degree. She just graduated in December 2024 Magna Cum Laude with Distinction from Texas A&M San Antonio. On school days, she would wake at 4:30 am, take the bus to campus, arrive an hour early and navigate her way to class, all of this by herself with no escort. There were so many people at her graduation ceremony to celebrate and cheer when she crossed the stage. After the ceremony, a banquet room full of friends and family gathered to celebrate with her. She was so proud of her accomplishment and was the happiest she had ever been. Previously, Abbi earned her associate degree with Honors at San Antonio Community College and had also successfully completed theological studies.

Her passing was very sudden and unexpected, all who loved her are heartbroken. But the good Lord is showing obvious signs that Abbi is now whole and living her best life in Heaven with no limitations. There is no doubt that God is well pleased with His precious princess, Abbi, and is granting her the desires of her heart for herself and the loved ones she left behind. She is reunited with both of her nannas who adored her and is dancing in Heaven with Jesus himself.

Remarkably, Abbi lived independently, with very little assistance. She was financially dependent on aid from government and charitable programs and had no life insurance. Unfortunately, she had no savings or alternate resources. Any funds raised with this GoFundMe will help with her medical and funeral expenses. Her family humbly asks for any contribution if you're able.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers and if possible, your charitable support. And thank you most of all for your love, devotion, and friendship for beautiful Abbi.

We will update here as soon as a date is set for Abbi's service.

In God's grace,
Abbi's loving family
