Honoring a Combat Veteran: Supporting His Family

Update: Thank you to all who have contributed! This first $1300 covers the deposit she had to make at the funeral home! I can’t thank you enough for helping relieve some of this financial burden! The funeral home payment is $500 a month. My goal is to get it paid off for her because with his income abruptly stopped and no life insurance to lean on she currently has more bills than budget at the end of the month even before adding on an additional monthly $500 funeral home payment.

Many have asked if the VA will cover some of the funeral expense. At the most we may get $2000. If this fundraiser exceeds funeral home expenses it will be put toward paying off some of her other monthly bills. That will be a huge blessing to her.

We are reaching out to you during a time of great sorrow and need. Our beloved combat veteran, Ronald Fisher SGT, USA bravely served our country for 22 years and was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq from April 8, 2003 to March 26, 2004 to protect our freedoms. He was awarded the Combat Action Badge for engaging in active ground combat with enemy forces in Iraq in 2003.

Sadly, his service connected disabilities led him to taking medical leave and then just recently the need to resign from his civilian job. Unfortunately, very soon after leaving his job he unexpectedly passed away before being approved for new life insurance.

His family is now facing the overwhelming and unforeseen expense of his memorial services. In addition, due to the abrupt reduction of the family’s income, his widow is facing hardship in making ends meet while also navigating the immense emotional pain of suddenly losing her very much-loved husband and soul mate.

We are coming together to honor the memory of our veteran and to support his widow during this challenging time. Our goal is alleviating the immediate financial burden, ensuring that the family can properly honor their loved one and manage their ongoing expenses.

Your contribution will directly support the memorial service costs and help provide much needed financial stability during this period of transition. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact and will be deeply appreciated.

Let’s rally together and show our support for a family that has consistently served their community with compassion and loving hearts. Your generosity will not only ease the immediate financial strain but also serve as a powerful reminder that Ronnie’s service and contribution to our country and his community will not be forgotten.

Thank you for standing with us during this time of need.

Sincerely,
Michelle McVaney
