Brig. Gen. Keith B. Connolly, USAF (Ret.), passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24, 2025. Inspired in eighth grade after hearing a pilot speak at career day, he pursued his dream with everything he had—earning his wings in 1956 and building an extraordinary Air Force career that took him around the world. He flew more than 4,800 hours in aircraft including the F-86, F-100, F-4, A-7, F-15, and F-16, served two tours in Vietnam (including 172 combat missions), and rose to Brigadier General before retiring in 1990. Above all, he was devoted to God, his 65-year marriage to Pat, and his family—always quick with a funny story and kindness for everyone he met.

After retirement, they settled in Tucson, where he spent 32 years volunteering at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, helping fellow retirees and continuing to serve his community. He was especially passionate about helping young people achieve their dreams of becoming Air Force pilots. His family wants to carry that forward by funding a scholarship in his name through the Order of Daedalians (Old Pueblo Flight 12). If you’re able to give, you’re honoring his legacy—and helping the next generation take flight.
