Honoring a Holocaust Survivor’s Final Journey

Donation protected
My father was 80 years old and a Holocaust survivor. He survived unimaginable horrors, rebuilt his life, and carried his resilience with quiet strength for eight decades. He was kind, gentle, and deeply grateful for every day he was given.

He was tragically killed while walking across the street, alongside his devoted service dog, who was also killed. They were inseparable, and his dog was not only his companion but a source of comfort and safety in his later years.

I had recently moved into an apartment with my father to care for him. Now, in the wake of this sudden and devastating loss, I am left grieving and facing financial hardship I never expected. I don’t know how I will afford to remain in the apartment we shared, and I am struggling to cover the immediate costs following his death.

We are seeking help to cover:
    •    Cremation expenses
    •    Transporting his remains back to his home country of Ukraine so he can be laid to rest where his life began
    •    Immediate living expenses as I try to stabilize after this loss

My father survived history’s darkest chapter, only to have his life taken so suddenly and senselessly. Any support—whether through a donation or by sharing this page—means more than I can express. It helps honor his life, his survival, and the love he gave.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us give my father the dignity and peace he deserves.
