Our hearts ache as we grieve the unexpected passing of our dear friend and coworker Nathan Strong. Nathan meant so much to so many and was an instrumental part of his community. He was known for his kindness, empathy, and willingness to lend a listening ear to those in need. His generous spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He believed in empowering others and had a profound impact on those around him. Whether it was mentoring young miners, pulling out his tools and jumping in to fix whatever was broken, or just cracking a joke, Nathan brightened everyone’s day and made sure those around him felt valued. Nathan lived a life to be proud of, but he made sure that we all knew his biggest accomplishment was his daughter, Karlee Strong.

Nathan was so proud of Karlee’s intelligence and potential and dreamed of seeing her reach great heights through education. He often spoke about her excellent grades and was excited to help her achieve her dreams of becoming a doctor. As we all continue to process this tragedy and celebrate Nathan’s legacy we want to ensure that his hopes for Karlee’s future live on.

We have created this campaign to rally around the Strong family and help support Karlee’s education- the funds raised will go directly toward covering her upcoming college expenses. By supporting Karlee's education we are not only investing in her future but also honoring the memory of her loving father.
