Hello, my name is Nastasha, and I am asking for help during the most heartbreaking time of my life. On July 31st—my birthday—my mom was hit by two cars while she was walking in a crosswalk. The first driver kept going, and the second driver hit her with such force that it caused the injuries that ultimately took her life. Both drivers fled the scene. One has been arrested, but the other is still out there.
What should have been a normal day, even a day of celebration, turned into the worst day of my life. Instead of birthday memories, I now carry the trauma of watching my world fall apart.
Because of the severity of her injuries, I had to make the most painful decision a daughter could ever face: I had to sign the papers allowing the hospital to let my mom pass. It is something that will stay with me forever.
I have already buried my mom, and I covered everything I could for her funeral and immediate costs. But I still have remaining expenses I can’t manage alone, and she still doesn’t have a headstone. It breaks my heart every single day to know her resting place isn’t complete.
I am asking for help with:
Her remaining final expenses
A proper headstone for her grave
I just want to give her the dignity, love, and remembrance she deserves after such a cruel and senseless tragedy. Any amount helps more than I can express, and if you can’t donate, sharing this would mean the world to me.
My mom was loving, kind, and full of life. She didn’t deserve what happened to her. I’m just trying to honor her the best way I can.
