On July 31st—my birthday—my mom was hit twice in a crosswalk on 4500 South and State Street in Murray. First by a silver car, then by a speeding green truck. Both drivers left her.

It’s been over a month, still no arrests, and I’m drowning under the weight of it all. I started a new job at the end of August, but I’m already behind on my own bills, while also facing thousands in funeral and cemetery costs for my mom. To make things worse, I’ve just been told I need to move because the owner is selling the home I’m renting.
