Losing my mom has been the hardest thing our family has ever gone through. She passed away after a long battle with stage 5 kidney failure, and the loss has left a space in our lives that can never truly be filled. My mom was the heart of our family. She immigrated to the United States from Peru on her own and worked incredibly hard to build a life here. Through her strength and determination, she raised her children, bought her own home, and created a place where our whole family could always come together. She raised her kids and helped raise her grandchildren all under the same roof, always making sure everyone felt loved and taken care of. Even while facing her illness, she stayed incredibly strong and continued to show love to everyone around her. Her strength, compassion, and the way she cared for her family are things I will carry with me forever.
