Help Us Honor Keawe’s Life and Legacy
Over the past four years, our community has walked alongside Keawe and his family through an extraordinary journey as he courageously battled Ewing sarcoma with unwavering faith, strength, and resilience.
Keawe was more than a cancer warrior. He was a son, brother, friend, leader, and a light to so many. His deep faith in Jesus Christ, compassionate heart, infectious smile, and strong spirit inspired countless people. He had a unique gift for bringing people together, making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Through his journey, he encouraged others to grow deeper in their faith, trust God through adversity, and live with courage and purpose. Whether someone knew him personally or followed his story from afar, Keawe’s life left a lasting impact that continues to ripple through countless lives.
As Keawe has entered into eternal peace, his family is preparing a memorial service and celebration of life that reflects the incredible impact he had on everyone who knew him. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and the community to come together in remembrance, gratitude, and hope.
We are asking for support to help offset the costs associated with honoring Keawe’s life, including:
Memorial and celebration of life expenses
Venue and reception costs
Flowers and photo displays
Audio and video tributes
IMUA remembrance items and keepsakes
Food and hospitality for guests
In addition, after four years of intensive treatments, travel, hospitalizations, clinical trials, and caregiving, the family continues to face significant medical expenses and financial burdens related to Keawe’s cancer journey. Any remaining funds will help ease these ongoing costs and allow the family space to grieve, heal, and focus on honoring Keawe’s legacy.
“IMUA” means to go forward with strength, courage, and strong spirit something Keawe embodied every day of his life.
Most importantly, this effort is about celebrating a young man whose faith never wavered. Even in his hardest moments, Keawe pointed people toward hope. He taught us what it means to trust God when circumstances don’t make sense, to love others generously, and to move forward with faith despite suffering. His legacy is not defined by cancer, but by the way he lived with courage, humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in God’s promises.
Thank you for surrounding Keawe’s family with your prayers, love, and support during this sacred and difficult time. Every contribution, share, and prayer is deeply appreciated.
As Keawe often reminded those he loved through the way he lived, this is not goodbye it is simply “see you again.”
IMUA KEAWE
Go forward with strength, courage, and strong spirit.
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
Romans 8:18
The memorial service is being planned for 6/20 and a celebration of life on 6/21. More details to come. For now, the family is taking time to grieve together and hold close the incredible love, peace, and strength Keawe brought into this world.
