Honor Zulema's Memory: Support Her Family

EN: It is with a heavy heart that we announce that on May 12, 2025, our family lost a beloved member in Zulema Suástegui Ramírez, 2 weeks after she suffered an entirely unexpected episode of cardiac arrest and fought valiantly for her life in the interim before tragically passing away after her heart condition worsened, all too suddenly.

Zulema was a caring and strong daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She suffered many afflictions near the end of her life, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney failure, and congestive heart failure, and received dialysis three times per week for the past 3 years. Even so, Zulema was able to persevere through these problems with a smile and was as lively as always, an outstanding example of resilience for our family. She leaves behind her husband, two sons, her father, and many brothers, sisters, aunts, and cousins as she joins her own mother in the great beyond.

Her loss came entirely unexpected and has created turmoil for us on an emotional and financial level. As such, we aim to raise funds to cover funeral and memorial services. With this financial support, our family can be entirely committed to grieving and coming together during these heavy times, to heal. ES: Con gran pesar, anunciamos que el 12 de mayo de 2025, nuestra familia perdió a un ser querido: Zulema Suástegui Ramírez. Dos semanas después de sufrir un paro cardíaco totalmente inesperado, luchó valientemente por su vida antes de fallecer trágicamente tras un repentino empeoramiento de su condición cardíaca.

Zulema fue una hija, hermana, esposa y madre cariñosa y fuerte. Sufrió muchas aflicciones hacia el final de su vida, como diabetes, hipertensión, insuficiencia renal e insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, y recibía diálisis tres veces por semana por los últimos 3 años. Aun así, Zulema logró perseverar ante estos problemas con una sonrisa y se mantuvo tan vivaz como siempre, un ejemplo excepcional de resiliencia para nuestra familia. Deja atrás a su esposo, dos hijos, su padre y muchos hermanos, hermanas, tías y primos, y se une a su madre en el más allá.

Su pérdida fue totalmente inesperada y nos ha causado una profunda conmoción emocional y financiera. Por ello, nuestro objetivo es recaudar fondos para cubrir los servicios funerarios y conmemorativos.
