After the most courageous battle, we lost our beautiful Zuleika to cancer this week. For years, we watched Z fight with grace, dignity, and incredible strength. Her desire to live was strong, but even stronger than that was her commitment to take care of her family. One of my last conversations with her, she was fighting for more time so that she could pre-pay for her funeral and not place that financial burden on her surviving family. This was quietly who Zuleika was at her core… generous, compassionate, private, humble.

We have put this fundraiser together to honor Zuleika’s wish and help her family navigate the emotional and financial burden associated with the loss of their beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.
