Honor Zachary Schwartz: Memorial Field Fund

The Town of Southeast will be officially naming the baseball field at Volunteer Park commonly referred to as “big Zimmer” in memory of Zachary Schwartz . Zach was a young man who touched the hearts of our community with his never give up attitude , he passed away from Leukemia on September 1st 2019. He created the Relay for Life team, ZACC (Zach Attacks Childhood Cancer) with profits going toward fighting childhood cancers. Zach was athletic and loved school. He was a great teammate to have, playing basketball, football, and baseball on the local teams. He truly loved the game of baseball and his Brewster Bombers travel team held a special and significant place in his heart.

The Southeast Town Board has chosen to name the Baseball field at Zimmer Park after Zachary. The official name of the field will be “Zachary Schwartz Memorial ZACC ATTACK field” . We need to privately fund for the memorial structure to be placed at the field . Please consider donating. We are very proud to have Zachary’s name memorized on this field as he held the very spirit and enthusiasm for the game of baseball we all love!!!
