Dear Family & Friends,
It is with our deepest sorrow that we make this post. Our dear friend, sister, wife, and mother is currently fighting an almost year-long battle with Kidney Cancer.
Many of you have visited and have shared time and memories in honor of our beautiful and bright, Yvette Pantoja-Rentas.
This has been what we can only describe as the longest year of our lives, even though time still seems to be running short.
Yvette was diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma in the early months of 2024. With the support of her family, she has exhausted all treatment efforts available to her.
Her loving husband, Pablito Rentas, has spent every waking hour bringing her back and forth from the hospital in Boston for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and several other treatments. He aided her with every single appointment, wiped every tear, and gave every medication, never leaving the bedside of his dear wife. He has seen her through two battles with cancer, previously supporting her through the recovery of brain cancer many years ago.
This cancer was something that nobody could imagine would ever be spoken about again, never mind lived through.
Her children have spoken life and love into her daily. They rub her back, braid her hair, make memories, and enjoy every minute left with the matriarch of the family. Her siblings bring joy and laughter, sharing fond memories and nostalgia. Her friends bring the biggest smiles, share old photos, and speak dearest prayers in her name over and over. I write all this to say, Yvette was well-loved and we, as her family, are devastated to share that we are now reaching the end of this fight. However, if love could have kept our dear Evie here, she would have been timeless.
The support from family and friends has been endless. We just cannot thank you all enough, and we are grateful that we can all come together even in the most unfortunate circumstances. We would like to ask for one last gift in honor of Evie and in support of her immediate family who have spent the last year grieving a loss that's yet to come.
We ask for monetary donations in Yvette's name; these donations will cover the following upcoming expenses:
- Yvette's Family Home Mortgage Payments
- Funeral, Cremation & Memorial Expenses
- Support for her Children Still Attending High School
We would like to thank everyone in advance for their kindness toward our family.
We would also like to extend an invitation to Yvette's Celebration of Life Event to anyone that loved her, with a TBD date. Please contact Pablito Rentas at [phone redacted] for information.
We are saddened to update with the news that Yvette Pantoja Rentas Passed away on the early morning of September 18th 2024 in her home surrounded by her family.
