Honor Yezele's Life and Community Work

Donation protected
Yezele Reyes-Evangelista, co-founder of the House of Evangelista online family/community, unexpectedly passed away on January 12, 2025, at her home in New Jersey. Yezele is survived by her beautiful daughter, Daliah, who is diligently working with family and friends to fund her mother's memorial service fees.

After establishing a career as a paralegal, Yezele fell on challenging times when she suffered a stroke, leading to a yearlong hospitalization and further medical issues that impeded her functioning. She dedicated much of her time in the House of Evangelista to promote respect, equity, love, and equality for marginalized communities. A mother and true ally to the LGBTQ+ community, Yezele was one of a kind.

Yezele was there at the inception of The House of Evangelista, helping to nurture and grow the beautiful and loving community that it has become. Please donate any amount, as even the smallest contributions will help Daliah and family provide our sister, Yezele, with memorial services that encompass the respect and dignity she deserves and has earned.
