Hello everyone,

My mom, Virginia Haumann, was a profound animal lover with a special connection to cats. Over her 82 years of life, she would even share her only can of tuna. For a dog, she would share the jar of peanut butter or her hamburger. She had no prejudice towards strays, sick or healthy; if a furry friend was near and seeking her attention, she wouldn't hesitate to help. Us kids were always glad to help her name the furry friends and assist when we could. Virginia never had riches nor any savings but always gave what little she had regardless of her situation. I am setting up this GoFundMe via her legacy to help as many less fortunate animals find true loving care. It would be wonderful if you could donate in her honor. Mom's slogan was "Furry lives matter." I picked Tree House Humane Society as she was a Chicago girl born and raised.
