HOGWASH’s mission is to honor my mother’s memory who was taken through domestic violence. HOGWASH was created because of the tragedy my mother suffered. As a minority owed business my goal to empower women in a male dominated industry.

Who was Viola Robinson? She was my mother, a woman born in a small town in the South called Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was a very proud woman who had five sons, and all she ever wanted was to be loved. But instead of love, she was murdered on November 17, 1974, by a man she was in love with and who she thought loved her. I was seven years old, what I remember about her is that she was a very petite woman with long hair, she loved carnations and her five sons.  When the decision was made to create HOGWASH, I chose her favor color and mine, pink, black, and blue. Her favor color Pink, and mine which are black and blue. This would represent her and me as one.

Why was the name HOGWASH chosen, and why is it always in capitals? HOGWASH was chosen because it is my way to express that every time someone says the name HOGWASH, they are agreeing with me in protest of the injustice she received. Why is the  in ALL capitals? By saying the business you’re screaming HOGWASH or loudly said! When I designed the logo, my idea was to have me representing Hog (pink) and him wearing my favorite colors, signaling that she and I are one. 

The hog is wearing a “V” not for peace but for Viola. He’s wearing a sneaky little smile and sunglasses hiding his eyes, indicating that he has a bigger plan in store to ensure that before leaving this earth, he will get her that justice that she and her five sons truly deserve.

I dedicated my love to serving others by serving the country in Law Enforcement for 30 years.

Over the years, there have been many who have come along and tried unsuccessfully to get me to change the name of the company, but what they don’t realize is this…..

Life after losing my mother was a Total Transformation; but in the end, it WILL be a Fantastic Finish!!
