Our hearts remain shattered as we share the tragic loss of our beloved Victor Vega. On Tuesday, May 6, while on his way to work, a 57 year old woman made an illegal left turn in front of his motorcycle. The impact threw him from the bike, and he was tragically run over by the Suburban she was driving.

Despite their efforts, the doctors were unable to save him.The accident occurred near the high school where Victor was a beloved finance teacher, and a devoted baseball and softball coach. His passion for teaching and mentoring left a lasting mark on countless lives. More than 300 students, colleagues, friends, and community members came together at his service to honor his memory, joining his son, wife, family, childhood friends, and neighbors in a powerful celebration of his life.One of Victor’s best and most unforgettable attributes was his infectious smile. It lit up every room he walked into and had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome, seen, and valued. That smile was a reflection of his kind heart, his joyful spirit, and the deep love he had for his family, students, and friends. It’s something we will all miss dearly but never forget.Victor’s light, love, and legacy will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
