In Memory of Trevor Bryan Sr — Rebuilding the Place He Loved

Beschermde donatie
There are some people whose lives quietly uplift everyone around them. Trevor Hugh Bryan Sr. was one of those people.

He lived with generosity, humor, strength, and deep compassion. A father, a grandfather, a brother, a friend — Trevor left this world on June 6, 2025, at the age of 76, having touched countless lives not through titles or positions, but through the way he showed up: ready to help, ready to give, and always with heart.

But this story doesn’t end here — because Trevor had unfinished work. And now, we feel called to finish something he began.

The Place That Brought Him Peace

Trevor wasn’t an active member of the Hampton Court Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the traditional sense. He wasn’t a regular practitioner of the faith. But that little church — humble and welcoming — was the place he went when he needed stillness, clarity, and peace of mind.

He respected it deeply, and more importantly, he helped. Whenever the church or someone in the community needed a hand — whether it was fixing something, donating time, or supporting events — Trevor was there. Quietly, reliably, generously.

When the most recent hurricane struck, it tore the roof from the church and left its structure badly damaged. Trevor, true to who he was, didn’t wait for someone else to act. He started helping — bringing what he could, doing what he could.

Sadly, Trevor passed before he could see the church rebuilt.
Now, we — his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life — are asking for your help to finish what he started.

Why We’re Rebuilding, Where will your support go?

This church means everything to the people who gather there. It was — and still is — a sanctuary for the elderly, a place of warmth for children, and a refuge for families in need of comfort.

Trevor knew that. That’s why he gave so much of himself to support it — not out of religious obligation, but because he believed in community, care, and the quiet power of doing good.

Now, with your help, we can:

  • Rebuild the church roof, torn away by the hurricane
  • Repair and strengthen the structure, ensuring it's safe and welcoming again
  • Restore the sanctuary and community spaces where support and fellowship happen
  • Reignite local programs Trevor believed in — simple acts that made a difference: sharing food, checking on elders, helping the next generation

Finishing What Trevor Started

Trevor was a man who showed up for others. Whether he was offering fruit from his land, fixing a fence, or lending a listening ear, his kindness came without strings.
Just days before his passing, he delivered bananas and plantains to friends and workers at a nearby church — one of many simple, quiet acts that reflected who he was.
This campaign is about more than rebuilding a church. It’s about honoring a man who never asked for recognition, but gave it like it was second nature.

With Love and Gratitude

From our family and community, we thank you.

Whether you knew Trevor personally or were simply touched by his story, your support will help rebuild a place that gave him peace — and continue a legacy of selfless service.

Thank you for helping us carry his spirit forward.

With gratitude,
The Family of Trevor Hugh Bryan Sr.
