Honor Tony's Legacy: Help Angela in Need

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I’ve been holding back from posting this, but I’ve reached a point where I need to ask for help, and I hope you’ll take a moment to read this.

As many of you know, my dad, Anthony — or “Tony,” as most of you knew him — recently passed away. Losing him has been devastating. He wasn’t just my father — he was my best friend, my rock, and my safe place. I’ve been doing my best to keep going, but the truth is, I’m struggling deeply — both emotionally and financially.

Many of you knew Tony as a musician and a chef. He spent nearly 40 years working in kitchens, and his food brought joy to so many people. But his first love was music. In the ’60s and ’70s, he played in a band called The Mirrors Image, performing live and making lifelong friends along the way. He had a huge heart and was the kind of person who would give anything to help someone else — even if he didn’t have much himself.

Since his passing, I’ve lost my Social Security benefits because he was my legal guardian. I’m working full-time — 40 hours a week — but I’m still falling behind. I’m two months behind on rent, nearly 90 days behind on my car payments, and I haven’t had car insurance since March. Every paycheck I get just disappears trying to catch up, and I feel like I’m drowning no matter how hard I work.

On top of it all, I haven’t been able to afford a service or proper memorial for him. Someone who gave so much to others deserves to be honored, and it breaks my heart that I can’t do that for him right now.

If you knew my dad, or if you feel moved to help in any way — I’m humbly asking. I’ve set up a GoFundMe in hopes of raising enough to not only give him a proper farewell, but also to help me catch up and finally feel stable again. Even if you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this or offering a kind word would mean the world to me.

Thank you so much for reading, for remembering my dad, and for being part of his life.

With love and gratitude,
Miss Angela Marie Scafuro
