Tomas and his wife, Xiomara, and three-year old daughter, Emma Marilena, passed away tragically due to the heavy rain and floods in the Chattanooga, TN area on Tuesday, August 12th. The floods caused a tree to fall on Tomas’ car while he was driving his family home and they all passed away. Elmer (Tomas' brother) is raising funds so that Tomas and his family’s remains can be sent to Guatemala and they can be buried together and have a proper funeral. It costs about $12,000 per person to be sent back to Guatemala. This includes the transportations costs and the legal fees. The funds will be deposited into an account that only Tomas' older brother has access to.
