I'm a mother navigating the unimaginable loss of my daughter, who passed away from heart failure and kidney failure. Due to these circumstances, life insurance was never an option.
Tarisha was born with Type 1 diabetes — a condition where the body eventually stops producing insulin. Over the years, diabetes led to complications that no one could ever fully prepare for, including heart failure, kidney failure, and ultimately the needing the major organs from one donor. On Monday, she lost her battle after becoming unresponsive during dialysis. Despite every effort, time was not on our side.
We are now faced with the heartbreaking responsibility of covering the homegoing service she truly deserves.
Tarisha was an amazing soul, full of love, light, and strength, and we want to honor her and her baby girl in the most meaningful way.
Beyond the immediate needs of the service, our deepest priority is the well-being of Tarisha's 8-year-old daughter, Brooklyn. As Brooklyn navigates life without her mother, we want to ensure her future is secure. Therefore, any funds raised beyond the funeral expenses will be placed directly into a trust fund established for Brooklyn's education and long-term care.
Any support—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing—means more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with us during this heartbreaking time.
